Get ready for Andre 3000's return to the big screen. The OutKast rapper has just landed a major new role starring as Jimi Hendrix in an upcoming music biopic about the legendary rock star currently titled "All Is by My Side".
Andre will play Hendrix during the period that he recorded his debut album Are You Experienced in England in 1966 and 1967. That album, which features the songs "Foxy Lady" and "Fire," is considered one of the greatest guitar albums of all time and helped launch Hendrix to international stardom.
"All Is by My Side" would be Andre's first top lined film, but the multi talented artist is no stranger to the silver screen. Previously, he's co-starred in the movies "Four Brothers", "Semi-Pro" and "Idlewild".
