In his own words:

My name is Birdie LZ , I'm from Long Beach, Ca. I started writing and recording music when I was 15 years old. Growing up I was influenced by artists such as Snoop, Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Dj Quik, Ice Cube and 2Pac. Basically local artists that were heavy in the game, successful and just making great music.

As an Independent artist the only regrets I have is I wish I wouldn't have
depended on others to help me get to the place I wanted to be as a artist.

I'm releasing my street album "KISS MY CONVERSE" in mid September. So check for that.

My greatest accomplishment so far in life is surviving as a young black man. Sounds funny but its not. It's real. I come from a real hood where young people my age die and it's normal. I'm here to tell the story for us all. To keep it alive for those that are not! That's a big deal where I'm from.

What I like most about being in the music business is the satisfaction others get from my music and work. Just to know people can actually relate and enjoy what I create is amazing.

My thought process behind my work is just energy, pure energy. Also influences from my past. I draw a lot from older material. All I listen to is music from the early and mid 90s. I haven't bought or burned a current cd in years. I feel like it helps keep me in a time zone where music was more real. Pure. Raw. What you listen to influences you.

My children inspire me, childhood friends, friends who have passed away, and friends that are locked up behind bars. Success also motivates me, the desire to be the best keeps me going

Advice I have for those looking to pursue their dreams? Don't stop. Stay on it. Stay at it. Never give up. Invest in what you believe in. Invest in what you want to become. Work hard. Don't stop. It's far from easy but the people that are successful and made it are no different then you and I.

Look out for Birdie LZ. I'm working hard and on the mash. When you hear about me later don't act like you ain't hear about me before.
