Lauryn Hill Pleads Guilty Facing Jail Time

Lauryn Hill just pled guilty to a major federal crime admitting she intentionally failed to file several tax returns in the past decade and now the former Fugees singer faces 3 years in prison.

Hill pled guilty today to three counts of failure to file tax returns for the years 2005, 2006, and 2007 when she earned more than $1.8 million.

When the judge asked if Hill "intentionally and willingly" failed to file the returns, she replied, "Yes."

In addition to the 3 years behind bars, Hill could be smacked with $75,000 in fines.

Hill was released on $150,000 bail. Her sentencing hearing is set for November.

We know Katie filed the divorce documents in New York on June 28, citing "irreconcilable differences." She is asking for sole legal custody and "primary residential custody" of the couple's 6-year-old daughter, Suri.

We also know Katie is asking for a "suitable amount" of child support.

Katie also asks for a division of property in her divorce documentss, although we know there was a significant prenup that is based on California law. Katie makes no mention of the prenup in her filing.

Katie's divorce petition was filed anonymously, without names.

In her own words:

My name is Tia Ferrera. I am a Pop/R&B recording artist from Sacramento, CA originally from San Diego but I've lived just about everywhere traveling for music!

I got started singing as a little girl in my grandpa's church and from there the music spark never left me. I was in and out of the business as a child but when the pressure got to be too much I went to college and got a "real job".

I always felt unfulfilled in my job though and kept singing and writing as "therapy" right around the time I lost my job and almost everything else, I decided I had to get back to my "dream" so put my all into my career in music, moved to LA and have been going ever since...thats the short version lol

We just released the video for my new single "Ladies Night" on my website http://www.officialtiaferrera.com. I am also planning to release two other singles by summers end as well as a full length project.

My greatest accomplishment so far, I would have to say just believing in myself enough to keep pursuing my goals, to keep pushing despite setbacks and to have performed with some pretty amazing people in some really amazing places at this point in my career is definetely on the top of the list.

I love cooking!!!! I am a foodie!! If I could travel all over the world and just eat all day I would!

Ultimately I'd love to open a performing arts center in my city for kids as well as give talented people a place and community to share their gifts.


What I like most about being in the business, self expression. I love that talent means something different to just about everybody so one day its this type and the next its that. I think its ever evolving kind of business and that always has an element of surprise to it.

What inspires and motivates me? The "everyday' man and woman. I come from and have always been around people that work hard to earn anything they have whether its a little or a lot they've put their all into their lives passionate people motivate me

My favorite job i've had was working in a salon. Its like your never really working lol your doing hair, talking, watching tv in my case singing and putting on little shows for the clients lol

Advice I have for those looking to pursue their dreams? Decide what you are passionate about write it down make a plan and wake up everyday doing something moving you closer to where you wanna be. You shouldn't be able to sleep until you've done at least one thing to move you closer to your dream

I hope if I am remembered for anything its that I never took life for granted, I lived it to the fullest, never took no for an answer always found a way to get those things I'd hoped for so that some one else knows they can too or that door is already opened to them

Woman Claims To Be Usher's Wife

Usher is claiming he's being stalked by a dangerous delusional woman who is convinced she's married to him

Usher has obtained a temporary restraining order against 26 yr old Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw

Usher claims Darshelle showed up uninvited to his Georgia home on June 23 with the intention of harassing him and his family. Sources close to Usher say she pounded on his front door and demanded to be let in.

Usher called the cops, and Darshelle tried to convince the officers she was Usher's wife and had simply misplaced her keys.

Cops didn't believe her and placed Darshelle under arrest.

Usher immediately obtained a temporary restraining order, claiming Darshelle "placed him in reasonable fear for his own safety and/or the safety of his immediate family."

Usher is hoping to make that order more permanent during a hearing next month.

Darshelle posted a YouTube video Wednesday, claiming Usher has been secretly giving her cash since last year, promising to make living arrangements for her. She also says he promised to help with her music career.

In the video, Darshelle insists, "I'm not a stalker Usher has officially slandered me and defamed my character." She says she plans to file defamation charges against Usher soon.

Snoop Dogg was detained at an airport in Norway this morning after customs officers discovered weed.

Snoop was stopped at customs at the Kjevic Airport in Kristiansand where officials discovered 8 grams of weed.

According to the cops, Snoop was fined $1,980.13.

Snoop was cooperative and quickly took care of the fine

Tamar Braxton Files “Cease And Desist” Order Against K. Michelle

Paris Hilton Knocked Down During Fight

Paris Hilton was leaving the new Bootsy Bellows nightclub on Sunset Blvd when a man in their group tried to pry a papparazzi's camera out of his hands.

During the struggle, Paris Hilton was knocked into a wall and then fell to the floor. She appeared to be ok and eventually left the parking structure.

Police were not called to the scene.

The photographer claims someone in Hilton's group took his camera and his jacket. He didn't say if he plans to press charges

R.Kelly Health Scare

Initial indications are that R.Kelly is suffering from complications from surgery he had last year to treat an abscess on his vocal cords.

R.Kelly had to cancel a book launch party and as a guest on the "Jimmy Fallon Show" and NBC's "Today" show.

Due to a health emergency R.Kelly is getting checked out at in a hospital in Chicago.

Producer Memphitz may easily become one of the most hated men in the industry. Fresh off of allegations that he beat his ex-girlfriend K. Michelle of “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta” he’s thrown more shade on his own reputation with a trailer for a new reality show, “The Real Mistresses of Atlanta.”

Memphitz, who is the Executive Producer of the show he hopes will get picked up by a major network, has just released a 9-and-a-half minute trailer

The show follows Sarah Oliver, a white model/video vixen, Mary Jane, an aspiring rapper, Maliah Michel, a stripper and video vixen who has dated Drake and Sean Kingston, Branden/Brandan (his name is spelled two different ways in the trailer), a male model, and Rosee, a French model, all of whom sleep with married men to support their hood rich lifestyles.

NBA Fines Amar’e Stoudemire $50K For Sending An Anti-Gay Tweet

The NBA just announced Amar’e has been fined $50,000 over the incident for what the league called “offensive and derogatory language.”

Amar’e adds, “I am a huge supporter of civil rights for all people. I am disappointed in myself for my statement to a fan.”
Amar’e apologized to the fan directly soon after, writing, “I apologize for what I said earlier. I just got off the plane and had time to think about it. Sorry bro!! No excuses. Won’t happen again.”

New Music Album: Kendrick Lamar "Good Kid, Mad City"

Kendrick Lamar has confirmed that his major label debut will be called "Good Kid, Mad City" and is slated to hit stores October 2.

The rapper made the announcement as he closed his first show in the U.K. last night.

"A lot of artists get to where I'm at and they feel like they made it, so they go out and work with the biggest producers," he said. "I still feel like I need to go out and show and prove myself on my first album that I can stand on my own two feet creatively."

NBA Star Chris Bosh's Childs Mother Applies For Food Stamps

Last week, while Bosh was on the brink of an NBA Championship, his childs mother Allison Mathis revealed that she had to apply for food stamps after she was laid off from her secretarial job. To add insult to injury, her home is in jeopardy of getting foreclosed and the $2600 a month that Chris Bosh is paying in child support is barely helping her make ends met. Mind you, Chris Bosh makes $18 million a year and lives in a 12.5 million dollar mansion

Bosh has spent millions on lawyers to keep her child support payments low but will not dish out any extra money to help her during this time. She also claims that it was his idea to have a baby out of wedlock and that he even had her take fertility treatments, however the two broke up when she was six months pregnant.

Alison had a job offer on "Basketball Wives", but Chris sued the show when he found out that she would be on there, and they ended up firing her.

MTV's "Teen Mom 2" Star Arrested Yet Again

"Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans found herself in jail in North Carolina again after cops say she assaulted someone early Sunday morning.

According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, the MTV reality star was also in possession of weed at the time of the incident.

Evans posted bail and has since been released from custody.

Celebrity Boxing Offered Drake & Chris Brown $1 Million Dollars To Fight

They are being offered the chance to fight like real men. Celebrity Boxing Founder’s Damon Feldman has offered Drake and Chris Brown $1 Million dollars each to step into the ring with Boxing gloves and Headgear to settle their grudge.

“We have promoted 55 Celebrity Fights and this would be the most interesting of all ,” says Feldman.

The match, if the pair accept, is set for Saturday August 25 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

A portion of the proceeds that should lure these two stars into the ring beside their grudge, is that the battle will also help out a charity for abused women.

Aubrey O'Day Diagnosed With Serious Mental Issues

Aubrey O'Day's doctor issued the reality star an official medical document which allows her to bring her dogs on to an airplane.

A representative for Virgin America airlines told TMZ, Aubrey cleared to bring her 2 pets into the 1st class section of a flight this week because they are registered as "Emotional Support Animals."

According to the Virgin America website, the airline requires the passenger to produce a letter from a licensed mental health professional which substantiates the guest's disability related need for the animal to accompany them in the aircraft cabin.

Aubrey's letter states she "has a mental health-related disability" and that having the animal accompany the passenger is necessary for his or her mental health.
