Evelyn Lozada says despite his arrest for head-butting her, she still loves her husband Chad Johnson but can't imagine speaking to him any time soon.

In an interview with "Nightline", Lozada described the domestic violence incident as "a bad choice that destroyed his life ... But it was his choice, it wasn't mine."

Lozada said she hopes Chad is getting help and she wants "the best for him," but says that being apart is "the right thing."

Johnson is expected to be arraigned in September. Evelyn filed for divorce 2 days after his arrest.

Karen is fighting back telling a GA court that not seeing her grandkids will cause "emotional or physical harm" to the kids ... claiming "the girls live such a crazy, abnormal life being on T.V ... they need a normal haven to relax."

A judge has yet to rule on the petition.

Hip Hop Mogul Found Dead

Hip Hop Mogul Chris Lighty Found Shot Dead due to apparent suicide

The long time manager of 50 Cent, Diddy, Ja Rule, and Mariah Carey was found dead this morning in NYC from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head

His body was found by police around 11:30 AM in the backyard of his Bronx apartment. Lighty was pronounced dead on the scene, where a semi-automatic firearm was recovered.

The death is being investigated as a suicide.

The hip hop mogul had been in an argument with his ex-wife and shot himself in the head.

The couple got divorced last year and Lighty hadn't been the same since.

Singer Nicci Gilbert Dropped From “R&B Divas” Reality Show

TV One’s new reality series broke a network record with its first episode last Monday as most-watched original premiere in the history of the channel.

Now comes word that the show, which chronicles the lives of R&B singers Faith Evans, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson, Keke Wyatt and Nicci Gilbert-Daniels, is looking to axe one of its cast members.

RadarOnline.com is reporting that the network is planning to drop Nicci, the former lead singer for Michael Jackson’s girl group Brownstone, from the show before they begin shooting the second season this fall.

They want to replace her with Kelly Price.

Rapper Beanie Sigel Arrested Again

Rapper Beanie Sigel was arrested for drugs and gun possession 2 weeks before he's supposed to turn himself in to prison for a different crime.

Sigel was sentenced to two years in jail for failing to file tax and owes more than than $700k in back taxes.

He was arrested for riding around in a car filled with drugs, cash, and a gun.

Both Sigel and the driver are convicted felons prohibited from possessing a firearm.

The two were arrested and charged with gun and drug violations.

NBA Star Kris Humphries Has Herpes

Kris Humphries is being sued by a woman who he gave her herpes

Kayla Goldberg met Kris in 2010. The two flirted, exchanged numbers, and Kayla claims that night they met up at Trousdale nightclub on the Sunset Strip.

According to the suit, Kris came on to Kayla, touching, kissing and dancing with her. Kayla claims he took her to his hotel and they had sex multiple times including oral sex. The suit claims during a portion of the sexual encounter Kris did not wear a condom.

The lawsuit claims Kris did not inform Kayla he had herpes and she claims in the suit that he did indeed have the disease.

Kayla says a week later she was diagnosed with herpes. Her symptoms included a sore throat, fever, body aches and immobilizing pain, as well as extreme vaginal irritation and painful lesions on her genitalia.

She's suing for sexual battery claiming Kris knew he had herpes when they hooked up and didn't tell her.

Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson Going To Jail For A Year?

Chad Johnson’s NFL career is over. His wife, Evelyn Lozada, has filed for divorce. His sponsors have dropped him. His reality TV series is canceled. The troubles keep coming, and now comes a report that Johnson could face up to a year in prison for assaulting his wife

Johnson was originally charged with a misdemeanor domestic violence charge for the August 11 incident in which he allegedly head butted his wife after she found a receipt for a box of condoms in his car.

While Johnson has often bragged about never getting arrested while in the NFL, an older charge for slapping an ex-girlfriend came to light. Back in 2000 he was charged with slapping a woman. He plead no contest, and reported to Oregon State weeks later to play football. He was punished with community service time.

Because of the prior arrest, Johnson’s latest charge could be bumped up to a felony. That’s up to the discretion of the Broward County State Attorney, and there’s no word on whether they plan to up the charges.

Though, if the charges are upped Johnson could face mandatory prison time of up to 12 months.

Amber Rose Is Pregnant

Radaronline.com is reporting that the model and her fiancé Wiz Khalifa are expecting their first child together.

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are excited about the upcoming bundle of joy, the pair unexpectedly got pregnant. The two are “really happy to be starting a family together.”

“Amber’s already had to make some big lifestyle changes, like not smoking cigarettes anymore. As a model, she’s used to having a thin waist, so this is going to be an adjustment for her.”

The model is due in January 2013 and because of that the couple plan to move their wedding date to October 2012.

New Music Album: The Game "Jesus Piece"

 

The West Coast rapper recently announced that he's renamed his upcoming fifth studio album from F.I.V.E (Fear Is Victory's Evolution) to "Jesus Piece"

The Game, who was baptized last year, says he first decided to make the change after observing a trend of other artists using the number five in their own album titles.

"Trey Songz came with his album Chapter V, and of course 50 Cent had 5 (Murder by Numbers), I just felt like I should jump off that wagon," he said in an interview with Vibe.

The rapper had recorded a song called "Jesus Piece" with Kanye West that inspired him to move in a new direction.

"So I went back into the studio and started doing songs that leaned more towards the title. I think people gon’ appreciate the concept once they hear the music," he said.

As the concept of a "Jesus piece" implies, Game says his album will blend religious and street values.

Jim Jones To Star In "Vampire Life: The Movie "

Jim Jones has partnered with CMG Entertainment in a deal to create, produce and distribute "Vampire Life: The Movie" in addition to an accompanying movie soundtrack.

The rapper will play the leading role in the film, which is set to be a full-length action feature and be released in December of this year.

"We are very excited to partner with Jim Jones and be part of the Vampire Life movement," said Rosado. "Any time you have the opportunity to partner with an established artist and businessman of Jim's caliber, you are bound to have a successful project and we look forward in growing the partnership."

Angela Bassett continues her run of playing strong women by signing on to "Betty & Coretta", Lifetime's television biopic of civil rights leaders Betty Shabazz and Coretta Scott King. Bassett will play King to Mary J. Blige's Shabazz.

The film will follow the two women as single mothers in the aftermath of the assassinations of their husbands, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. Ruby Dee will appear onscreen as a "historical witness" to narrate the story, "as someone familiar with the events of both their lives," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

With the presidential election season hitting a fever pitch, the up-and-coming rapper from Compton has revealed that he simply doesn't believe in voting.

"I don't vote. I don’t do no voting, I will keep it straight up real with you. I don’t believe in none of the shit that’s going on in the world. You talk with me, you talk with me for hours because everything has a contradiction, everything is higher ranking and way beyond us, way beyond people. So basically, do what you do, do good with your people and live your life because what’s going on isn’t really in our hands. If it's not in the president's hands, then it's definitely not in our hands."

Kendrick also expressed doubt that men had ever actually landed on the moon.

A$AP Rocky Pushes Back Debut Album

Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky let his fans know that his much anticipated solo album, "LongLiveA$AP", won’t drop until Halloween.

"We got my album dropping on Halloween, LongLiveA$AP, and look forward to that," he assured his fans.

While no official tracklist or cover art has been released for the LP, Rocky revealed some of the producers who would be contributing to the now delayed album. Along with Diplo, Hit-Boy, Clams Casino, A$AP Ty Beats, Joey Fat Beats and Soufein3000, Rocky will also craft beats for the project.

Lindsay Lohan Suspect In Jewelry Theft

Lindsay Lohan is a suspect in the theft of $100,000 worth of watches and sunglasses

Lindsay was at the Hollywood Hills home of Sam Magid a week ago when Sam called the LAPD and reported a jewelry theft. Lindsay has been at the house frequently, including at an all-night house party

Law enforcement told TMZ that Lindsay and her assistant Gavin Doyle are both suspects in the theft.

The police believe they have independent witnesses who can finger Lindsay and Gavin as the thieves.

LAPD detectives contacted the lawyer for Lindsay and Gavin today, asking for an interview with the two suspects but the lawyer rejected the request.

Bad news for Lindsay, because she's on probation for the theft case involving the necklace at a Venice jewelry store. She could go to jail if she violates probation by stealing more jewelry.

Terrell Owens Dropped From Seattle Seahawks

Terrell Owens’ NFL return lasted less than three weeks. Owens was released by the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, part of the league-mandated roster reductions from 90 to 75 players.

“I’m no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I’m truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver.”

Owens signed a one-year deal with Seattle on Aug. 7, following a sterling workout that had coaches and Seahawks staff raving about how good he looked for having not played an NFL game in more than 18 months. He signed just before Seattle’s first preseason game and made his debut in the second week against Denver. But his preseason performance was more notable for the passes he dropped than anything he caught.

Owens was trying to make a comeback after not playing since Week 15 of the 2010 season while with Cincinnati. He sat out the entire 2011 season following surgery on his left knee and failed to receive any offers.

Usher Paid Off The Judge

Usher's lawyer's law firm threw an election fundraiser back in 2008 for the judge who presided over the trial and best believe there has to be a connection there that influenced the unfair ruling.

According to the campaign contribution report for Judge Lane, the law firm that represented Usher raised $1,278 for Lane in March 2008.

Tameka argued in court that Usher is constantly on the road, where she has a more stable schedule, it makes no type of sense to give him primary custody.

Tameka will fight the decision and file an appeal according to TMZ

Usher Won Custody Of His Two Sons

A judge has awarded Usher primary custody of their two sons.

Tameka felt the singer was an absentee father who was too absorbed in his career to be a good dad. She also accused him of using drugs in front of the kids.

Usher argued Tameka was inattentive and irresponsible.

A judge sided with the singer, awarding Usher primary custody of the ex-couple's two sons, which means the children will be spending the majority of the time with their father.

Tameka still retains some custodial rights but the extent to which Tameka will be able to see her kids is unclear.

Lil Wayne To Release Skateboarding Shoe Line

Now that Lil Wayne's skateboarding inspired fashion line, Trukfit, has successfully hit the world, he's looking to add shoes to his collection. The rapper is teaming up with skateboarding shoe brand SUPRA to create his own design.

"I was just rocking them when I was skating and stuff and when I got real cool with the homey Stevie Williams, it was kinda like a plug from him," Wayne told MTV News. “He's been with SUPRA. He just let them know. Even before I was skating, I was rocking SUPRAs before I even knew what they were. It was just a mutual respect on each end so it was just bound to happen."

Despite being courted by other shoe companies, the Young Money CEO decided to stick with the brand he himself wore when he got into skateboarding. The shoe collaboration is set to be released May 2013.

Fifteen deserving teens from communities throughout the metro Atlanta area and surrounding counties were selected after each submitted a 250 word essay detailing why they should be including in the media bootcamp. The participants were carefully selected to engage in an intense program giving them a birdseye view of the variety of specialized careers available in the media industry. During the rigorous two-day camp the all participants were given in-depth tours and tutorials from news anchors, journalists, television producers and behind-the-scenes executives at major media companies.

“I am overwhelmed with pride by the group of bright and ambitious teens who joined us for this year’s Rising Media Stars Bootcamp. To see how eager they were to soak up all the knowledge and information that was put before them in two action-packed days was very inspiring! It does my heart good to know that I am able to use my position within the media industry to help gifted young people,” said Egypt Sherrod, HGTV’s "Property Virgins" Host & V103 Atlanta on-air personality and founder of the Egypt Cares Family Foundation.

In his own words:

My name is Frankie DeCarlos, some call me "the Prince of Soul", I'm an singer-songwriter-musician, originally from Memphis, TN. I reside in Atlanta, GA.

I started singing in church and playing drums at a very young age. My mom always said that before I could speak clearly I could sing clearly. I even had to go to a speech specialist during elementary school years to learn how to speak properly. Sometimes I still get tongue tied. I always loved music growing up but never really thought that I would be where I am today. I thought I would be a bug scientist or something.

I grew up in a strict religious but loving home, my mother and father worked very hard to provide for my two sisters and I. My family is musically talented. Almost everybody sings. I was 9 when My dad forced me to learn piano and that's really when my musical life took off. I studied all of the greats from Ray Charles to Marvin Gaye to Michael Jackson to R. Kelly, and learned their theories.

I learned how to play most instruments and started producing gospel records and then R&B. Life has been a learning experience, I really have no regrets about the path that I've traveled. I've made a lot of mistakes but I don't beat myself up. I'm more concerned now about helping others and enlightening the minds of men and women about the greatness that lives in us all. Marvin Gaye himself said that true artist are only concerned about "waking the minds of men".

I'm working on an EP that's scheduled to release in 2013. There is a love song on the project that I'm proud of called "Best In Me". I always wanted to write a love song like Elvis's "Love Me Tender", I think this is the one. Look out for it yall!

My goals for 2012 is to do more community oriented work, such as mentoring young people. Give back to my community and help others. I'm happiest when helping others. I will also be gearing up for the new album as well, videos, side projects, the works.

My greatest musical accomplishment so far is getting word that my album 'EMPIRE' was included in the 54th Grammy Awards entry process. Just to be included was great to me. I understand that with God I can do all things, so everyday I wake up I experience the best day of my life- full of personal accomplishments.

I love supporting my own community, I love movies, I love mentoring, live concerts, animals, if I could have a zoo in my back yard I would. I love doing yard work. I dig antique cars, I'm a car guy. I love seeing the world and world history.

My thought process behind my work? It's a bit mystical. little bit of it all I guess. When I'm happy I write happy records, when I'm upset I write upset records, when I'm feeling love I write love records, when I'm sad I write sad records.

God and life itself mostly inspire me. My family inspires me.

Advice I have for those looking to pursue their dreams? Know that you have the DNA of the Creator of the universe inside you. I'm comfortable with calling the Creator God, the Almighty has different names throughout the world. Since you have God in you nothing is impossible to achieve in this world. Keep your mind on your work and do it big.

I want to be remembered for helping others discover greatness in themselves and being a voice for the voiceless.

I want the world to know that, I love extremely hard and that I have a big heart.

Rapper Shyne Goes In On Diddy

In January, the MC told MTV News, via Skype from Paris, that he and Diddy had buried the hatchet. The two were even spotted together during Paris Fashion Week in March. “I felt how I felt; I said what I said. In retrospect, when you looked at the way Diddy handled it, he held it down, he wore it,” Shyne said back in January, remarking on how the music mogul never threw dirt on him, despite Shyne’s disses. “He ain’t had nothing to say; always had good things to say. It was always, ‘Yo, whatever Shyne need, we got him.’ “

Shyne now says that Diddy has fallen back on promises he made to help the rapper get a U.S. visa and return to America.

“Homeboy did me dirty, he knows that; he apologized,” Shyne told Miss Info. “He’s said he’s gonna spend the rest of his life helping me get my life back, so how you don’t help your man come back to America?!”

The rapper said that Diddy offered him money, which he claimed to have turned down, saying he only wanted his former friend’s support. Shyne also believes that Combs should help out the mother of his former bodyguard, Anthony “Wolf” Jones, who was also involved in the Club New York shooting and was later murdered in an unrelated incident.

“Don’t give me any money — I don’t need it — but take care of Ms. Jones. Diddy gave her $10K when I started talking to him, but that was it,” Shyne said. “But while we were in Paris, he spent half a million on his chick, Cassie. … If it weren’t for Wolf, if it weren’t for me, things would be very different. There would be no Cîroc deal, he wouldn’t be worth close to a billion.”

Kandi Burruss Going Back to School

Kandi Burruss has enrolled in school for sex education, which, along with aiding in her sex toy line, "Bedroom Kandi", and her sex web show, will now allow her to pass on her sexology expertise to others. The reality TV star and songwriter announced her studies over Twitter last Friday.

"This week I've taken steps to better myself. I'm officially a student studying sex education & clinical sexology! #EducationIsEverything," she wrote.
